Update 8/11/13. Vikings we have some new information for you!
Good news for the Samsung users. From today on, Samsung will open up the 4G connection. The 4G supporting devices will systematically get an update and will be able to connect to 4G. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is first in row, Samsung expects that it will take 1 week for the update (so don’t worry if you’re not able to connect within a few days). Other devices will follow: the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S3 (LTE version only), Galaxy Express and at last the Galaxy Tab 3.
Although our Chief Viking Hans went on a trip to Silicon Valley to meet Apple, the iPhone users amongst you still can’t make use of the 4G connection.
Again we want to ask you Vikings to fill out the form below. Since you’re one of the first Vikings to use the super fast connection, we need to collect all the information we can get from you. In return you’ll receive our everlasting gratitude!
What is 4G?
4G makes your mobile data connection even faster. Concretely: faster upload of videos and pictures on your blog or social media. Also, you can download media way faster and using video chat such as Facetime and Skype will be a lot quicker.
Where is it available?
Using 4G will be able in the following cities if you have a device that supports 4G.
Does your device support 4G?
If you don’t know whether your own mobile phone is compatible with 4G, here’s an overview:
- Apple: Iphone 5S and 5C. Apple hasn’t unlocked the 4G/LTE devices yet, we also don’t know when this will happen.
- Samsung: Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy S3 (LTE version), Galaxy Express and Galaxy Ace 3. These devices will systematically get an update as of November 8.
- Sony: Experia Z1 and Z
- Nokia: Lumia 625, Lumia 920 and Lumia 1020
- HTC: One and One mini
- BlackBerry: Q10 and Z10
- LG: Optimus LTE, Optimus G2 and Nexus 5
- Huawei: PXXX
- ZTE: Grand Era, LTE, MF91D and MF823
These mobile phones support LTE, which enables you to connect to the 4G network.
Also, tablet devices such as iPads are compatible with 4G.
Feedback from you, our very first 4G users?
All right, super fast mobile Internet! That’s right, but we need your feedback for further development. You might already have noticed that the connection is limited in place and device.
So are you in the right region? Do you have an LTE supported device? Then fill out our form and let us know that you’re one of the first Vikings to use 4G! Like that, we can keep track of cities where the connection is set free and we can keep you up to date about new locations and devices.
Chief Viking Hans about 4G
Our Chief Viking Hans, known as a real early adopter, has been trying the 4G connection for 2 weeks now:
“This is really weird! Earlier, when at office, I was always using a wifi connection. Now, when I’m on location and use the 4G connection, I don’t even notice the switch between connections!”
Here’s what to do: enjoy your superfast connection as of today and let us and your fellow Vikings know that you are one of the first Vikings to use 4G.
